TWO WOMEN,
ONE MISSION,
TO INSPIRE AND
CREATE

Our journey began at the Copenhagen School of Design and Technology, where we repeatedly faced the question: What is sustainable fashion? Throughout our education in Sustainable Fashion Technology, we were prepared for an industry that mass-produces clothing in vast quantities, despite the fact that the world doesn’t need more clothes. This contradiction fueled our desire to find a more responsible way of creating garments, leading us to create SEWSCRIBE.
SEWSCRIBE stands as a pioneering, subscription-based sewing collective dedicated to fostering green innovation and repurposing discarded textiles locally. We envisioned a sanctuary for sewing enthusiasts to nurture their craft through environmentally friendly means. With our monthly memberships, members gain access to state-of-the-art equipment and reclaimed materials, empowering them to realize their creative visions. More than just a workspace, SEWSCRIBE is a vibrant community where individuals can delve in to the art of sewing with the support of professional guidance and mentorship.
Navigating the complexities of today’s fashion landscape, SEWSCRIBE embodies a beacon of creativity with a commitment to resourcefulness. We acknowledge the innate human impulse for creation and innovation, all while honoring the finite resources of our planet. By championing the ethos of upcycling and skill development, we not only challenge the norms of consumption but also foster a deeper connection to our wardrobes and the impact of our choices. SEWSCRIBE’s mission is clear: to redefine fashion education and production through a lens of creativity and responsibility, paving the way for a harmonious relationship between fashion and the environment.
